Punjab Police attack PPP anti-terrorism rally in Lahore

Punjab Police have attacked peaceful demonstrators of Pakistan Peoples Party protesting against terrorism in Lahore. According to details scores of PPP workers were rallying in Bagarian, area of Green Town Lahore, against terrorism, when the police attacked them.

The PPP was staging a rally against terrorism as well as hanged effigies of terrorists during the protest. The Punjab police used force to disperse the anti-terrorism protesters of the PPP.

As soon the police attacked, the PPP workers chanted slogans against the PML-N government and police. They also chanted ‘Go Nawaz Go’ when police manhandled them and arrested President PPP Zone 154 Dr Zarar and workers.

Several demonstrators were arrested in the crackdown. According to the PPP Lahore information Secretary Faisal Mir’s Tweet, police is searching him to arrest.
President Central Punjab PPP Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo on his own behalf as well as on behalf of the party strongly condemned police attack on the PPP workers in Lahore and demanded action against the responsible.
