Kashmiri struggle for independence is bound to succeed: Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo‏

Pakistani nation has drawn the line from the well-known public declaration of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in which he said, we will fight for the cause of Kashmiri people for thousand years’ adding that the Pakistani nation being an honorable nation will not backtrack from the commitment come what may, said Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo while addressing the big function here today in connection with the observance of Kashmir Day.
He said this while addressing the large gathering of cross sections of society at the Azadi Camp set up by the PPP in front of Provincial Assembly, Lahore, to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their struggle against the occupation of India. He congratulated Dewan Mohayuddin for making elaborate and excellent arrangements.
He emphasized that the Kashmir issue must be resolved according to the UN Security Council resolution in which India and the international community committed itself to hold plebiscite in order to provide Kashmiri people the opportunity to determine their own political future.
He added that India claimed the biggest secular democracy in the world but was denying the rights to the Kashmiri people, and instead had deployed eight lacks of security troops who had unleashed a reign of terror and indulged in abhorrent human rights violations. All the reports of the Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and the local human right rights organizations have fallen on deaf ear of the all the successive Indian governments, he said.
He pointed out that the atrocities of startling proportion against the Kashmiri people had failed to extinguish the flame of Azadi among the Kashmiri people as the pursuit of worthwhile cause, Azadi, had eliminated the fear of terror or death among the Kashmiri people. Their struggle for independence is not subject to downfall adding their victory is inevitable.
He recalled that the PPP founding father Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto spearheaded effective campaigns to internationalize the Kashmir dispute that spoke volumes how strongly they felt for their struggle.
He said that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto declared 5th of February as the Kashmir Day each year to highlight the cause of Kashmiri people within Pakistan and around the world in which highhandedness of Indian government against the innocent Kashmiri was highlighted.
Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto secured membership for the All Parties Hurriat Conference in the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) despite the fierce opposition of India. The Kashmir cause got immense boost as a result because the Hurriat Conference was recognized as the spokesman of the Kashmiri people by a respectable international forum.
He observed that Kashmir was the jugular vein of Pakistan adding that no country no matter how strong that might be could deprive the people from their independence, and they were bound to succeed.
Earlier, Sardar Latif Khosa, Secretary General of PPP, in his speech said that India could not keep the people of Kashmiri as their hostage through the sheer brute force.
He paid rich tributes to Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for their outstanding contributions to make the defense of the country impregnable. No part of the Indian Territory is out of the target of Pakistan, he stated to the cheering crowds.
Ghulam Mohyuddin, Deputy Secretary General who made all the arrangements for setting up the Camp also spoke on the occasion. Sohail Malik, VP in his speech said that Kashmiri people would win freedom under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari.
