ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution unanimously paying tributes to former Prime Minister Ms Benazir Bhutto for offering meritorious services to the country.
The resolution was moved by Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanvir Hussain. The House paid homage to the former Prime Minister on her 61st birthday being observed on Saturday.
“The House recognizes this day as the birthday of Shaheed Prime Minister Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, and on this day, pays homage to her indomitable courage and will to fight against extremism and tyranny, while upholding the ideals and values of democracy, moderation and tolerance; recalls her words, “The forces of moderation and democracy must and will prevail against extremism and dictatorship.
I will not be intimated; salutes her single-minded determination to eliminate the scourge of terrorism and pays tribute to her incomparable services for a democratic Pakistan for which she ultimately lay down her life.”
