Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, Secretary general PPP, had urged the government to take a leaf from the experience of the previous PPP Government in handling the internally displaced persons (IDPs) problem during the Swat operation.
He said this in a statement issued from here today.
He said that the PPP government handled the IDPs issues with precision adding that they were issued ATM cards that ensured the prompt cash assistance to the people without any hassle.
He said that the IDPs from FATA were now facing problems in getting the financial assistance and they were roaming here there in a state of helplessness.
He recalled that the PPP government dealt with such a large number of IDPs and they were back to their homes with dignity within the period of three months. Sawat operation was a great success from this perspective as well, he added.
