President Punjab PPP, Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo ,and Secretary General, Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, have congratulated the Armed Forces of Pakistan for successfully completing the phase one of ongoing Wazirstan Operation against terrorists and extremists.
This was stated by them in a joint statement issued from here today from the Party Secretariat.
Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo said that the whole nation was standing behind the brave soldiers who were deeply engaged in establishing the writ of the state usurped by the terrorists posing grave danger to the security of the country and our way of life and indeed the constitution.
Main Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo said that the inevitability of the success of the operation was the foregone conclusion although the procrastination of it caused national losses both in terms men and resources. Had the operation been carried out earlier instead of wasting time on negotiations with TTP the country would have been saved from the deadly attacks on Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, and the Peshawar airport, he observed.
He said that the stance of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto had been vindicated at the end of the day who pleaded that the terrorists should be taken head on because the policy of appeasement would surely prove counter-productive and self-defeating because terrorists did not possess the capability of understanding the language of reason and peaceful co-existence .
Tanvir Ashraf Kaira while extending his heartiest felicitation said that the brave soldiers deserved the rich tributes of the nation for the successes they had attained in the war on terror especially in Wazirstan.
He said that the completion of the phase one of the Wazirstan Operation was the good news for the people of Pakistan who were starved of such news for the last many years.
He questioned that as who was responsible for the loss of precious lives and the public properties caused by terrorists’ attacks during the times wasted on negotiations by the government with TTP. TTP was trying to gain time as a part of their strategy in the negotiations but the government failed to understand their despicable intentions, he regretted.
He said that the military operation at the end of the day proved Chairman Bilawal Bhutto right who strongly advocated that the terrorists must be fought on their turf because they were devoid of civility as their favourite tools were enslavement, intimidation and elimination at the barrel of gun.
