The ruling party should honour the advice of the PPP, Jamai-i- Isalmi including other parties by not resorting to erecting barriers in the way of long marchers because it would trigger clash which is not in any body’s interest, said Mian Manzoor Ahme Wattoo, President Punjab PPP in a statement issued from here.
He said Imran Khan and Dr. Tahir-ul- Qadari should be given free hand during azadi march as they had given unequivocal assurance that their workers would remain peaceful, The Court has also given instructions to the government to remove containers for returning the life to normality, he added.
He warned that if marchers were stopped by force the resultant bloodbath would give the justification to the third force to intervene forcing the contesting parties to their political redundancy for the unforeseeable future.
Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo referred to the Chairman PTI public statement in which he had stated that he would present his demands during the azadi march. He would be soft then and definitely make room for accommodation, he opined.
He predicted that in that scenario the Parties with national outlook like PPP and Jamai-i- Islami including other parties would be in a better position to play their role for building bridges between the PTI and the government in the interest of democracy and the country.
He reminded that the people of Pakistan had reposed confidence in politicians of their representation and it was important that they should prove worthy of their trust by providing relief not adding to their woes.
Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo observed that politicians are known for showing light to the nation in darkness, they are hope in the face of hopelessness adding Pakistani politicians should not prove themselves as an exception.
