No court can ask President to relinquish political post, says Amir Raja

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab Information Secretary, Raja Amir Khan says that, as head of state, President Asif Ali Zardari is immune from prosecution and no court can summon him and ask him to stop political activities as well as to relinquish political post.
He said in a press statement that the Constitution empowers the elected assemblies to make or amend laws and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) believed in the supremacy of Parliament.
Former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, appeared before the supreme court thrice in the respect of judiciary, he said. He criticised the Supreme Court’s decision in which the court formed a one-man commission comprising Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) Shoaib Suddle, to investigate an alleged business deal worth Rs 342 million between Dr Arsalan Iftikhar and Malik Riaz Hussain. He termed this decision in-discriminatory and biased. He urged for indiscriminate accountability across the board.
He also said the PPP wanted free and fair elections as only such polls suited the party.
