Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that Pakistan Peoples Party and its allies desired to pass the Accountability Bill with consensus
In an interview‚ he said the bill had been processed by the committee around three times which has also given its findings‚ but the PML-N had some reservations.He said the bill was even presented in the Parliament‚ but withdrawn on the opposition’s demand.
Qamar Zaman Kaira said the government wanted to pass this important bill with consensus‚ but a specific group of PML-N led by Chaudhry Nisar Ali is trying to spoil every effort in this regard.
He said that the meeting of PPP ministers with PML-N leader Ishaq Dar remained positive and a senior leader like Dar would help make progress on the bill.
