KARACHI- Asif Ali Zardari, former president and PPP Co-Chairman, said today that his party wants continuity of democracy.
The former president said that the party did not go for protests after Benazir Bhutto’s assassination but saved the country with the ‘Pakistan Khapay’ slogan. “The problems are solved in the parliament not in the streets during protests,” he said.
He supported the PML-N government, saying his party wants continuity of democracy as it is the only way of Pakistan’s development. Zardari said that the PPP will hold countrywide public meetings from October 18th.
