LAHORE: Rehman Malik, former interior minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, said Saturday that action must be taken against the people responsible for the Multan tragedy.
He has also urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to investigate the causes of the stampede which took place in the rally in Multan.
Talking to media here, Malik said those who died in Multan were Pakistani first and then PTI workers. “PTI should conduct internal inquiry also”, he told media.
The PPP leader said that his party wants to save democracy not any particular government.
He again insisted on the need of friendship between the PPP and MQM, saying the parties must have better relationship for the development of Sindh.
