Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab President Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo has said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government does not want to accept resignations of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentarians as it will worsen the prevailing political crisis.
He expressed these views while addressing new entrants to the PPP during a ceremony at party secretariat on Wednesday.
Advocate Muhammad Hussain from Arifwala announced joining the PPP along with a large number of his supporters.
Wattoo said that the PTI parliamentarians did not want to get their resignations accepted while the government never wanted to accept them because acceptance of resignations would affect the representative credentials of the parliament leading to deepening the crisis further. He said that the PTI did not want to resign from the parliament and that it wanted to keep political cauldron boiling for the sake of party politics.
