KARACHI – Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani has said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has open-heartedly allowed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold its November 21 rally in Larkana.
“In the democracy, we can’t forbid anybody to hold public gathering, the real challenge will be in elections,” said the speaker, a veteran PPP leader, in his chat with journalists at the Sindh Assembly on Wednesday. “What Imran will deliver to the people of Sindh as compared to what Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto had given to them, but it’s yet to be seen,” he said, adding the PTI is not going to organise its rally in Larkana city, but in a small village”.
“It’s just a rally, let them do, we will be happy to see the position of our opponents. Let’s see whether Imran shakes PPP or PPP shakes him in Larkana,” he said. The PTI is gearing up to show political muscle in Larkana, the hub of the PPP’s politics, on November 21 as part of its anti-government campaign.
