Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, President Punjab PPP, has condemned the killing of the PTI worker in Faisalabad today attributing it to the mismanagement of the Punjab government that seemed to have resorted to re-visiting the industrial city after the Model Town, Lahore, this year in which14 people were killed and ninety injured.
He urged both the parties to desist from the confrontational politics because of its serious ramification on the political system of the country. Their belligerence will push the country towards anarchy if they do not mend their ways, he predicted.
He said that all the circumstantial evidence suggested that the PML (N) leadership instigated its workers to take the PTI workers head on in Faisalabad with the intention to make them run way. But, the aggressive posturing of the PML (N) workers did not subdue the PTI workers adding it was the bankruptcy of the leadership’s acumen to create a volatile situation like that.
He observed that it was never in the interest of the ruling Party to resort to force against the workers of other Party adding their strategy to deal with the situation was totally wrong and would be rejected right across the country like of the Model Town goof.
The government’s best option is to diffuse the confrontation adding its instigation by them optimized the naivety of unimaginative proportion of the mandarins, he maintained.
They have no capacity to learn from their mistakes and are rather more inclined to repeating the same– simply analogous to shooting into their feet with their own guns, he added.
Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo warned that the politics of confrontation would prove as an exercise in futility and its undertakers would be held totally responsible if democracy was hurt in the country.
He urged the PTI leadership to adopt the recourse of the Parliament and the Court for the redressal of their grievances and should stop the politics of agitation for being dangerous to the political system and its evolution.
