Pakistan Peoples Party Punjab’s district information secretaries had a meeting on 12 December at PPP Punjab Secretariat 158 C Modal Town Lahore. Mr. Raja Amir Khan information secretary Punjab chaired the meeting.
Meeting started at 15:00 hours. Mr. Raja Amir Khan welcomed all members. Meeting started with recitation of Quran Kareem. All participants introduce themselves.
In his keynote address, Mr. Raja Amir Khan said that the party was the symbol of federation‚ and the only hope of marginalized classes‚ and on the contrary the PMLN and the PTI were the representatives of elite classes. He said we would make the party’s media effective and stronger in Punjab.
He urged the information secretaries to spread the party’s message and develop awareness among the masses about the PPP’s sacrifices for democracy as well as the party’s previous government’s historic measures for Pakistan’s poor and marginalized classes.
Agenda of meeting was to discuss innovative communication strategies influenced. Information Secretaries from different districts shared their experiences and challenges, discussions were held around various points, including social media strategy, Ms. Jahanara M Wattoo, Head Social Media Punjab, said that the PPPP understand the importance and relevance of social media for connecting with the masses and disseminating the pro people massage of the party.
Point of emphasis was to launched well organized and planned media strategy to meet up several objectives which assist the party in their overall campaign.
It was decided that information secretaries of all districts will establish a social media office, and will ensure a meaningful link between district organization and social media offices.
Mr. Abid Saddique Deputy Information Secretary Punjab, Mr Sohail Malik, Additional General Secretary Punjab, Mr. Junaid Qaiser, Social Media Coordinator Punjab, Ahsan Abbas Rizvi Media Coordinator Punjab, Ali Asghar Awan senior member of Social Media Committee Punjab and Awais Baig head social media Gujranwala Division were also present in the meeting.
