Mian Khurram Jahangir Wattoo, a provincial leader of Pakistan Peoples Party and MPA Punjab led a mass rally in Haveli Lakha, a town in Depalpur Tehsil of Okara District, against the terrorism and for the martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar attack which claimed death of 140 people including 134 innocent children.
The rally was organized by the Central Traders Alliance Haveli Lakha, in which all segments of society and twenty sub-organizations participated.
The participants were holding banners, posters and placards condemning the brutal attack.
Addressing the participants, Mian Khurram Jahangir Wattoo, said his heart goes out to the families of those children who were killed by the terrorists in Peshawar. He added that terrorists could not bring down the morale of the nation through such cowardly attacks. He maintained that the incident had united the nation and all Pakistanis stand behind the armed forces in this hour of need. He said that terrorism must be completely eliminated to ensure peace in the country, and resolved that the PPP was the only party which had a clear-cut stance against terrorism and It would continue its fight against terrorism till the end of the last terrorist and the establishment of complete peace.
