Punjab Government not serious in eradicating corruption, says Kaira
ISLAMABAD, Dec 19 (APP): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira Tuesday said Punjab Government is not serious in eradicating corruption from the country and PML-N was only interested in point scoring in this regard. Addressing media persons after attending the meeting of cabinet’s special committee to eradicate corruption, he said the non attendance of Punjab representative in special meeting of cabinet committee will prove that PML-N is not serious in eliminating corruption from the country.
He said that the committee has summoned heads of different departments. Chairman NAB Admiral (Retd) Fasih Bukhari and Director General FIA also participated in the meeting.
The present government will take all stakeholders on board while making strategy to curb corruption from the society as think tanks play crucial role in development of any society.
Expressing government’s commitment to curb corruption the Minister said accountability process has been accelerated since the democratic forces has taken over the reins of the government.
He said dictatorship always enhanced corruption in the country. He said that the committee would soon prepare its recommendations and would work daily till Friday.
