Pakistan People’s Party leader Sherry Rehman on Thursday termed the apologists and friends of terrorists ‘traitors and accomplices to murder of our children’ while addressing a press conference in Peshawar.
Accompanied by former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Ms.Rehman said that the time has come to differentiate between the apologists and enemies of terrorists.
She urged the need to remain united and devise a plan to win the war which has now moved inside ours homes and schools.
The PPP leader appealed to media to not give airtime to terrorists’ apologists and question the leaders about their made promises.
She stressed on taking charge to fight the war against terror.
“Whoever started this fire, our house is burning now and we will have put it out,” she said.
Ashraf, terming the Peshawar attack ‘shocking for the entire world,’ urged that the nation needs to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with its armed forces.
On Tuesday, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants stormed Army Public School in Peshawar and held the students hostage for more than 6 hours. At least 148 people, mostly students, were killed in the attack. Scores were injured. At least 9 faculty members were also killed.
A military operation in the school concluded on Tuesday evening with all attackers being killed.
